Usage

• These commissions are for PERSONAL USE only. You cannot use it for any commercial purposes, NFTs, or AI databases. Examples of personal use:

  • posting the artwork on your social media account (with tag/credit)

  • using the artwork as a profile picture or icon for online accounts

  • using the artwork as a wallpaper on your phone or computer

  • printing the artwork to dispaly in your room

  • using the artwork as part of an invitation/card for a personal events (birthday, anniversary, etc)

• Please credit and tag me when posting the artwork online (@charmeeyu on IG, twitter, threads).

• If you need an illustration for commercial purposes (for a business, branding, merchandise, publication, etc), feel free to reach out and inquire via email (charmee.yu@gmail.com). Work intended for commercial use will be priced differently.

Payment

• Payments can be made via US bank transfer / Wise for USD payments, and GCash / Maya for PHP payments.

• Payment link / details will be sent to you once your commission request has been accepted.

• At least a 50% downpayment is required in order to reserve a slot. The remaining 50% must be paid after the sketch is approved and before work on the final artwork begins. You may also opt to pay 100% upfront.

• Once a payment has been made, it is non-refundable.

Revisions

• 1-2 rounds of revisions are allowed during the sketch phase. Once the final artwork has been shown for review, only 1-2 rounds of minor revisions are allowed.

• Major revisions on the final artwork or additional rounds of revisions will incur additional charges.

​Schedule

• Commissions will be scheduled in order of payment (i.e. If you send in your payment first, you’ll be scheduled first).

• Once I start sketching your commission, it will take 1-2 weeks to complete.

• You may monitor the status of commissions through the status tracker which can be found on charmaineyu.com/comms

• If you need the commission finished by a certain date, please indicate it in this form. Depending on when that date is or if you need to be bumped up in the line, it may incur additional charges.

Artwork File

• A low resolution version of the artworks will be shown during the feedback stages and the high resolution final artwork file will only be sent over once the artwork is approved.

• Final artwork will be A5 size, 300 dpi (148.5 x 210 mm / 5.8 x 8.3 inches). File type will be jpg / png.

• If you’d like the artwork in a different size or formatted into other sizes in addition to the A5 size, please note it down in the commission request form.​

Others

• I have the right to refuse commission requests.

• I have the right to publish/display the commissioned artwork on my social media and portfolio.

How much for additional people / characters / pets?

I will apply the same base rates for additional people / characters / pets as I did for the first ones. In other words, I do not offer discounted rates for additional people / characters.

What counts as a minor revision vs. a major revision for revisions on the final artwork?

This is mostly up to the me and how much time and effort is needed for me to make the revision.

However, to give an example, minor revisions on the final artwork may include things like slightly adjusting the facial expressions of a person, changing the color of a small accessory, or changing the color of the simple background. Major revisions may include things like changing the poses, changing the outfit of a person/character, or changing the main color/s of the illustration.

How much does it cost for additional revision rounds?

I generally charge about 30-50% of the commission fee for each additional revision round (This is outside of 1-2 revisions rounds that are already included).

In order to avoid additional revisions, I recommend being detailed in your commission request descriptions and providing a good amount of reference photos. I also recommend voicing out any concerns or comments right away during the sketch phase, so that these can be addressed before I start on the final artwork.

Can I request for different sizes?

The default size for commissions is A5 300 dpi (148.5 x 210 mm / 5.8 x 8.3 inches). I can accommodate requests for smaller sizes (e.g. phone wallpaper, desktop wallpaper, icons, postcard) or larger sizes (up to A4 size) free of charge.

If you'd like to ask for a size larger than A4 or various sizes created in addition to the A5 sized piece, I might charge an additional fee to accommodate the request.

How long is the wait?

Each commission request will take me around 1-2 weeks to complete, and depending on my work load from other projects, I may or may not be able to work on multiple commission requests at the same time. Depending on your position in the queue, it may take me anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks to get to your request and complete it.

If you need your commission completed by a certain date, please make sure to indicated it on the request form. Depending on when that date is and your place in the queue, I might charge an additional fee to accommodate the request.
