Young Star is the weekly youth publication of the Philippine Star, one of the Philippines' most widely circulated newspapers.
Process
I wanted to show the contrast between anxiety and cooking by illustrating anxiety and fears as a messy darkness, while cooking as bright and colorful. Out of the three studies I made, I decided to go with the first one because I liked how the cooking and food elements make a path through the darkness, as if creating an escape from anxiety.
