Building Bridges

Event key visual and materials
for KALFI Lead

KALFI Lead is a Philippine Youth Leadership Program by the Kalinangan Youth Foundation, with a mission of empowering young women leaders and contributing to their holistic development, through partnering with family and educational institutions in the Philippines.

They approached me, hoping to create new and creative materials for their annual leadership talk and forum.

Concept & Style Research

Jumping off from the client’s initial wishes to visualize what “servant leadership” would look like, I proposed the idea of a helping hand and how it can be the key to solving and overcoming problems and adversity.

I also wanted to highlight on how a good deed and a good leader can inspire others to do good as well, causing a ripple effect that can connect or bridge people to work together in creating an impactful change.

For the style, I proposed an organic textured style which would bring about a more warm or human feel. Forms would be simplified and more cartoon-like, with a usage of curves in the composition to give a harmonious and friendly impression.

I also recommended colors that would give an overall light and warm feeling, but also be fun and full of life.

Key Visual

After looking over sketches and studies, we decided to use moments of leadership, team work, and creating an impact in local communities as the key visual for the event.

Social Media Materials

Using the scenes and objects from the key visual, I also created various social media materials to help with event awareness.
